What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Outpatient Therapist position at Creative Counseling and Consultation?
About us
We are a mental health agency providing care primarily to school aged children and their families. We value providing quality wrap around services to families and provide school based therapy. We have a close-knit supportive team, free supervision (licensure and play therapy), and flexible hours. We are a HRSA designated site for loan forgiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and counseling to clients in an outpatient setting
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Develop and implement individualized treatment goals and interventions
- Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques in psychotherapy sessions
- Conduct crisis management and provide support during emergency situations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust treatment plans as needed
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Behavioral Health or related field
- Valid license or certification as a therapist or counselor (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
- Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation and assessment tools
- Ability to address gender issues in counseling sessions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
