Creative Color Art Studios is looking for an experienced, local artist/art teacher who wants to spread their love of art this summer! Instruction will take place during our Summer Fine Art program beginning July 6 through August 6, four-day weekly sessions, Monday-Thursday. Instructors teach a variety of grade levels and art mediums in an fun, upbeat, high paced, educational setting. Classes take place at our lakeside studio in McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale.
Our popular summer program has been an inspiration for fine art teachers throughout the Valley. By joining our team you will be exhilarated by our established curriculum and become part of our art community!
Other opportunities include instructing in our various programs including adult Sip & Paint Classes, Private Paint Parties, Corporate Events, Kids’ Birthday Parties, Family Art Classes, and more.
This is a seasonal position, approximately 28-32 hours per week during the summer, and with opportunities for additional hours on Fridays, weekends, which can continue into the school year if desired. Flexible training hours and schedule will be determined based on mutual availability.
Responsibilities
- Uphold studio core values throughout all classes and events
- Create a culture of creativity, enjoyment, and safety as we strive to provide a nurturing and art enriching educational environment
- Prepare, set up, and clean up art materials and supplies for classes and events
- Deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that encourage students to develop styles and express themselves through the medium of art
- Demonstrate various elements of art and introduce techniques and procedures for painting, sketching, sculpting, etc.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and reinforcing expectations
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be outgoing and comfortable in front of crowds of all ages
- Background in art education
- Enjoy working with children
- Classroom management skills
- Be able to lift canvas boxes and other art supplies
Availability
- Camp runs July 6- August 6
- 4-Day Sessions Monday-Thursday
- Approximately 8:30am-3:30pm
Education and Training
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree required, art education preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and art experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as those listed above.
