Media Relations Specialist

Our client, a leading architectural design firm, is seeking a Media Relations Specialist to drive media strategy, elevate thought leadership, and increase brand visibility across national, business, design, and industry media.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute media relations strategies that support business and brand goals.
• Build relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers.
• Secure earned media coverage highlighting projects, research, and thought leadership.
• Draft press releases, media pitches, executive bios, talking points, and related communications materials.
• Prepare firm leaders for media interviews, speaking engagements, and public appearances.
• Support reputation management and strategic communications initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in media relations or public relations.
• Experience within architecture, construction, engineering, or commercial real estate industries strongly preferred.
• Proven success securing earned media coverage in business, design, architecture, or trade publications.
• Existing media relationships and journalist contacts preferred.
• Experience supporting executive communications and thought leadership initiatives.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
