Content Designer
Position Overview
Our gaming client is seeking a Content Designer to help with a project. Because this is a short-term backfill, we are prioritizing experience and autonomy.
This role is 40 hours/ week, remote, starting ASAP.
This role is focused on the Safety pillar of the clients' platform. The ideal candidate is a "plug-and-play" professional, someone who can step into a fast-paced environment, absorb the brand voice instantly, and execute high-quality UX writing and content strategy with minimal oversight. This person will shape the content strategy for our user-facing safety pillar, focused on ensuring our players feel safe, informed, and empowered.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and refine UX content for our products and features working with XFN partners.
- Help ensure their products and features are valuable, understandable, and easy to use, maintaining our quality bar for craft and execution.
- Ensure consistency in voice and tone, terminology, and style across the platform.
- Work closely with the design team to integrate content strategy, best practices, and systems throughout the product design process.
- Use empathy, logic, best practices, technical acumen, and data to inform content choices and recommendations.
- Be adept at explaining those choices to cross-functional partners and documenting them for future use.
- Use UX writing to improve the clarity, usability, and engagement of our products for players, parents, and creators.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7 years in Content Design, UX Writing, or Content Strategy.
- Sensitive Contexts: Proven experience writing for sensitive user experiences (e.g., safety, privacy, or legal-heavy flows).
- Fit: A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving tech environment autonomously.
- Portfolio: A strong showcase of UI copy, microcopy, and strategic documentation/style guides.
- Systems thinker: You look beyond the screen to see how content impacts the entire ecosystem and workflow.
- Deep understanding of information architecture, taxonomies, and user-centered design.
- You can navigate complex stakeholder reviews (Legal/Civility) with ease and logic.
