Duties
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities focused on childhood development and learning
- Support children's social, emotional, and behavioral growth through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and learning
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or welfare
- Support classroom management by helping with routine tasks such as diapering, feeding, and nap time
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development instruction
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in first aid is a plus
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work collaboratively within a classroom setting while managing multiple responsibilities
- Understanding of behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques
