Job Overview

The Bench Operator is responsible for supporting the production process in a blow molding manufacturing environment. This role involves inspecting, trimming, finishing, assembling, and packaging blow-molded products to ensure they meet quality standards and production requirements. The position requires attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Duties

• Inspect blow-molded parts for defects such as flash, short shots, discoloration, or deformities
• Trim excess plastic, clean, and finish parts using hand tools, or trimming equipment
• Perform secondary assembly tasks (installing caps, inserts, labels, or fittings as required)
• Conduct basic quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Package finished products according to work orders and shipping requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation following safety standards
• Report defective products, machine issues, or quality concerns to supervisors
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous blow molding experience is a plus
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (typically up to 50 lbs)

• Reliability and good attendance
