Job Skills
Duties include supervision of children, staff and facility, curriculum planning and presentation, record keeping and budgeting, communication, and other tasks necessary for the successful operation of the center. As part of this position’s duties, the Asst. Director will assume the supervision and operations of the daycare center.
Leadership experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with ability to problem solve and make decisions independently.
General computer literacy. Proficient in Excel.
Knowledge of KDHE Licensing regulations
LEAD TEACHER
Lead teacher to provide classroom coverage in my daycare center. Hours may vary from 7 AM - 5:30 PM Monday thru Friday. Schedule is flexible.
The teacher will be working with children and be responsible for developing and executing an ongoing program of activities that meet the children’s basic developmental needs. Teacher must be able to maintain a positive, warm and encouraging environment for children and interact with them in a positive and loving manner.
Also, the Teacher must be able to maintain a positive and supportive relationship with parents and other associates.
Job Requirements accomplished, or willing to complete within 14 days of employment:
- Tb Test
- CPR/First Aide
- KCCTO Class: The Fundamentals Module 1 & 2
- Fingerprinting
- Background Check
Job Duties:
- Develop and carry out appropriate developmental activities for children.
- Continuously supervise and interact with children, individually and in groups. Monitor the safety of children in their care while in the class room as well as on the playground or at an activity.
- Establish and maintain open and positive oral and written communications with parents.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships and communication with associates and supervisors.
- Adhere to all licensing regulations, as well as childcare center policies and procedures.
- Basic understanding of child growth and development as well as developmentally appropriate practice
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to repeatedly reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, squat, climb or crawl.
- Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Position is parttime
