Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Caregiver to provide essential in home support to medically fragile children within their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve, also preferred experience with cerebral palsy and seizures.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance, including feeding, changing, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and lifting as needed to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their well-being.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with daily living activities in assisted living environments or at home.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers regarding client needs.
Skills
- Experience with cerebral palsy and seizures is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Ability to assist clients physically, including lifting when necessary, while ensuring their safety.
- A background in nursing or caregiving
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for success in this role.
