What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional - Overnight Shift position at CREATING A LEGACY INC?
Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide care and support to individuals with developmental, physical, and behavioral disabilities in a residential setting. You will assist 4–6 adults with daily living activities, community integration, personal care, and behavior support, helping them lead fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation).
- Follow individualized service plans and provide active treatment.
- Monitor, report, and document client behaviors, health status, and progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging environment.
- Support clients during community outings and events.
- Administer and document medications per policy.
- Attend staff meetings and required trainings.
- Report suspected abuse or neglect following mandated reporter guidelines.
- Perform household duties including cleaning, laundry, and yard care.
- Encourage personal growth and independence for each individual served.
Qualifications:
- Valid CA Driver’s License (REQUIRED)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges preferred
- Ability to perform lifting or mobility support as needed
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
Salary : $18 - $21
