Duties
- Lead and supervise furniture installation teams, assigning tasks and ensuring timely project completion
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installations
- Utilize hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines to assemble and install furniture pieces
- Ensure adherence to power tool safety protocols and proper handling of construction materials such as wood, metal studs, siding, drywall, and fixtures
- Coordinate with project managers to review construction plans, schematics, and schedules for each installation project
- Conduct heavy lifting safely while managing multiple installations across various sites
- Perform site inspections to verify quality standards, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, carpentry, or woodworking within residential or commercial settings
- Strong background in furniture assembly, fixture installation, trim carpentry, framing, siding, drywall finishing, caulking, flooring installation, and remodeling projects
- Familiarity with construction site procedures including concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, water damage restoration, mold remediation, masonry work, and metal stud framing
- Hands-on experience with construction plans and schematics interpretation for precise execution of projects
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices related to power tools usage and heavy lifting techniques
- Prior handyman experience or roles involving drywall finishing or plastering is advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and work efficiently with various woodworking tools and machinery
