What are the responsibilities and job description for the Publishing A&R Intern position at Create Music Group?
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Music Publishing department at Create Music Group is looking for a Publishing Intern to begin in November 2021. This is a full time position based in our Hollywood office. The role supports internal A&Rs with requests for analyses of potential growth opportunities. The role will also research, evaluate and potentially sign new and upcoming talent in the space.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills - must be highly detail-oriented
- Comprehensive understanding and experience on the Tik Tok platform and other social media platforms (including Instagram, Snapchat and others) where music discovery and development takes place
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google apps
- Knowledge of Hip Hop, R&B and Pop genres
- Ability to conduct basic level research
- Use of discretion and the maintenance of high levels of confidentiality
- *Knowledge in the Music Producer world is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to Publishing Dept. Director of A&R
- Performs routine maintenance tasks of the catalog including updates, audits and error resolution
- Liaises with Digital Rights teams (Youtube) to consolidate and audit schedules, metadata, and deliverables
- Analyzes performance of clients and potential leads and relays findings swiftly
You are required to bring your own laptop for this position.
