What are the responsibilities and job description for the EDM - Music Discovery Intern position at Create Music Group?
Create Music Group is currently looking for a passionate intern to join our EDM Department and learn the ropes of contemporary digital royalties collection. This is an Unpaid intern position located in our Hollywood office. Full time availability is preferred; part time is possible for the right applicant. Full time interns are eligible for monthly stipend reimbursement.
YouTube monetization provides an alternative consulting and revenue-generating resource for our clients to grow their audience and earnings. We have helped our clients monetize and collected millions in previously unclaimed revenue for artists and labels.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience watching YouTube videos daily
- Social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
- Strong time management skills
- Staying laser-focused between tasks
- Conducting basic level research
- Organizing large amounts of data efficiently
- Proficiency with with Mac OSX, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps
PLUSES:
- Driven towards a career in the music and/or entertainment industry
- Strong understanding of online video markets (YouTube, TikTok, IG TV)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting our EDM Department by providing extensive research on music markets and monetization opportunities, including:
- Researching artists, venues, industry events, and promotional opportunities
- Marketing related tasks (taking minutes, compiling marketing data)
- Internal YouTube assignments
- Gathering analytics on potential clients on YouTube
- Compiling data into spreadsheets for review
- Day-to-day office tasks (running staff errands, light lifting up to 20 lbs, updating spreadsheets and other administrative work)
You are required to bring your own laptop for this position. You must also be a student or recent college graduate.
COMPENSATION:
Unpaid internship with reimbursement stipend for eligible full time interns. We may also provide interns with course credit upon request.
