What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Rights Administrator position at Create Music Group?

Create Music Group is currently looking for a Digital Rights Administrator to join our Publishing Department. This role is responsible for ensuring complete delivery of our publishing content on YouTube and maintaining internal systems and metadata to company standards. We are looking for a candidate who is strongly interested in a career in digital rights management, and could eventually lead a team of administrators as well as identify new monetization opportunities both within and outside of YouTube. This is a full-time position located in our Hollywood office.

 

YouTube monetization provides an alternative consulting and revenue-generating resource for our clients to grow their audience and earnings. We have helped our clients monetize and collected millions in previously unclaimed revenue for artists and labels.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  

 

  • 1-3 years of work/internship experience or education in rights management (experience at a music publishing company or record label preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Savvy with internet culture and social media platforms, especially YouTube
  • Conducting basic level research
  • Organizing large amounts of data efficiently
  • Proficiency with Mac OSX, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps

 

PLUSES:

 

  • Previous experience with YouTube’s Content Management System
  • Knowledge of musician specific digital marketplaces (Beatstars, Airbit, Traktrain)
  • Strong understanding of the online video market (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok)
  • Bilingual - any language, although Spanish, Mandarin, and Russian is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Manually claiming content and setting claim policies to all uploads in a timely manner
  • Uploading and defining intellectual assets (sound recordings, music videos, writer’s splits)
  • Resolving claim and asset disputes with other rights-holders and YouTube users in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintaining and updating metadata daily
  • Researching potential clients
  • Identifying new digital revenue-generating opportunities for our clients
  • Staying on top of accounts for the current client roster

 

You are required to bring your own laptop for this position.
