What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Instructor position at Create! Color Art Studio?
Create! Color Art Studio- Paint your own pottery and more- is now accepting applications for an exceptional Summer Camp Instructor. This position is part time Monday-Friday from 8:30am - 2:30pm. Camp is offered bi-weekly starting June 29th. The instructor who is chosen will have a choice of only working those 5 week-long camp sessions, or helping in studio and at offsite events on the ‘off’ weeks.
Position may also include extended hours to assist on the main studio floor on busy days. Our instructors will be leading children ages 7-13 in theme specific art projects using clay, pottery, fused glass, canvases, board art, tie dye and mixed media.
Must be…
- friendly, outgoing, have excellent customer service/people skills and phone etiquette
- organized, self motivated, great at multi-tasking and shows initiative
- creative, fun, and great with children
- able to work independently
- age 18
Job Requirements:
- Must love art and children!!
- Ability to run day to day operations of the camp program
- Event/class assistance
- Stock and Inventory
- Reliable transportation
- Be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Be able to be mobile/on your feet throughout shift
Skills:
- Creativity
- Customer service
- Experience working with children (preferred but not necessary)
- Experience with POS (preferred but not necessary)
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Painting and drawing (experience preferred but not necessary)
- Organization
