What are the responsibilities and job description for the Thermal-Fluids Technician position at Creare?
Creare seeks a hands on Thermal-Fluids Technician to assemble, instrument, operate, and troubleshoot custom fluid systems, thermal management loops, and test rigs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build, modify, and maintain complex fluid handling systems, heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, refrigerant systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic test loops.
- Install, calibrate, and wire pressure transducers, thermocouples/RTDs, flow meters, strain gauges, and level sensors.
- Safely charge, drain, sample, and dispose of various working fluids (e.g., coolants, oils, refrigerants, compressed gases, or cryogenic fluids).
- Engineering Technology degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, pipe and tube fitting, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with heat exchangers, high-temperature systems, and refrigerant systems is a plus.
