We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Culinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the kitchen staff in food preparation and service. Duties
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Support the cooking staff by performing tasks such as chopping, mixing, and measuring ingredients.
- Help with serving meals to residents, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation.
- Buss tables after meals to maintain a tidy dining area.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
- Participate in maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and knowledge of dietary practices.
- Experience in an assisted living or healthcare kitchen setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of food handling practices and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
