Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse distribution operations, ensuring efficient stocking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling processes.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to plan, monitor, and optimize freight routes and inventory flow.
- Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies to develop actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and support category management initiatives.
- Analyze data collected from SQL databases, spreadsheets, and ERP systems like AS400 to identify trends, forecast demand planning needs, and improve process workflows.
- Manage inventory control through regular stock audits, inventory management systems, and manual handling procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Support trade compliance by adhering to international trade regulations and customs requirements during import/export activities.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication among logistics providers (3PL), warehouse staff, customer service teams, and production planning units for seamless order fulfillment.
- Implement process improvements using tools like Tableau for data visualization and analysis skills to enhance supply chain analytics capabilities.
- Assist in transportation planning including freight scheduling, shipping logistics coordination, and managing NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) relationships for international shipments.
Experience
- Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with a strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics management, and inventory control.
- Demonstrated expertise in using ERP systems such as SAP or AS400 along with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Skilled in data analysis using Excel data analysis tools, spreadsheets, SQL queries, and Tableau for visualizing complex datasets.
- Hands-on experience with procurement processes including sourcing negotiations, vendor management, pricing strategies, and freight negotiations.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on supply chain issues to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies proactively.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments such as logistics providers (3PL), customer service teams, production planners, and suppliers.
- Physical ability to handle manual materials handling tasks when necessary.
