Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mover role based in Bound Brook, NJ. The Mover will carefully pack, load, transport, and unload personal and commercial contents from homes and businesses affected by fire, water, and other disasters. Daily tasks include inventorying items, labeling and documenting contents, and assisting with on-site packouts and returns in coordination with the restoration team. The role involves lifting, carrying, and moving items of various sizes and weights while following safety procedures and company standards. The Mover will also interact professionally with customers, insurance representatives, and teammates, maintaining a respectful and empathetic presence in often sensitive situations.
Qualifications
- Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and standing throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate inventorying, labeling, and documentation of customer contents.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a full-time schedule with occasional overtime or varied hours as needed.
- Professional, courteous communication skills and a customer-focused approach in homes and businesses affected by loss.
- Capacity to follow instructions, work effectively in a team, and adapt to changing job sites and priorities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; comfortable driving company vehicles (box trucks or vans) is preferred.
- Commitment to safe work practices, including proper lifting techniques and adherence to company safety guidelines.
- Previous experience in moving, restoration, logistics, or warehouse operations is helpful but not required; on-the-job training provided.
