What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Cleaning/Contents Technician position at CRBR?
Job Purpose: The Cleaning/Contents Technician II is responsible for cleaning fire, smoke, water, mold and other types of damage from buildings and contents. Job duties will include removing residue and odor from affected areas. Projects will also include packing and moving customer’s contents to be processed and stored in another location. This position takes place in the home of our customers therefore applicants must be honest, dependable, have good communication skills, and be trustworthy. The candidate must be organized, systematic, and accountable. This position includes inventorying customers items to store and clean off site. This requires physical work and heavy lifting. To be a level II you will have a strong understanding of what chemicals are used when, how to do the job in its entirety. You will be familiar with iCAT systems and know how to work with a team. You will be able to welcome new hires and assist with training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Thoroughness and efficiency in cleaning structural components.
• Pack-out/Pack-in of building contents, such as: furniture clothing, household goods, kitchen wares, knickknacks, etc.
• Complete inventory lists of all contents that are removed from the jobsite.
• Safely Pack boxes according to CRBR standards, not too full as such the items won’t be damaged.
• Wrap all furnishings in such way to protect them.
• Inspect and clean the structural areas outlined in the scope of work.
• When cleaning contents the goal should always be to return the contents to pre-loss condition.
• Leave the jobsite clean by removing all cleaning supplies upon departure.
• Always take care and professionalism when moving customer’s contents to prevent loss, damage or breakage.
• Knowledge and use of cleaning techniques, supplies, and tools.
• Follow all written cleaning/ content procedures.
• Assist Lead Technicians to maintain vehicle, workshop, supplies and equipment according to CRBR guidelines to ensure preparedness.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations and sometimes extreme smells and dirty conditions.
• Treat customers belongings with appropriate respect and care
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner both in and out of the presence of customers.
Qualifications:
• 2 years of experience in the cleaning or inventory space
• Ability to use all functions of iCat
• Ability to help train a new employee to CRBR standards.
• Ability to work full-time with some on-call responsibilities.
• Detail-oriented
• Customer service skills and can handle customers’ goods with professionalism and care.
• Good communication and professionalism.
• Aptitude for learning, ability to follow direction and work in a safe manner.
• Working knowledge of mobile applications including email, video and photo messaging, calendars and electronic time keeping.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must participate in the on-call rotation
• Must be available for overtime

Work Environment:
• Work with cleaning, deodorization and antimicrobial products on a daily basis.
• Wearing PPE often: gloves, respirators and splash goggles (provided for use)
• The workspace may be contaminated with heavy smoke residue, mold and mildew, contaminated water or other unsanitary conditions. Protective gear is available for use and is required on some heavily contaminated work sites.
• Ability to work with a variety of chemicals.
• Often in customers’ homes or warehouse setting
Physical Demands:
• Medium work: exerting up to 75 pounds of force routinely, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
