We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager with environmental consulting experience to manage technical projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy client interaction, technical oversight, and working within a collaborative team of geologists and engineers.
This position is focused on environmental consulting and is not a construction project management role.
Position Overview
The Environmental Project Manager will manage environmental consulting projects with a primary focus on Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, site investigations, and related environmental services. Projects are primarily based in South Florida, with regional work across the Southeast as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage environmental consulting projects from proposal development through final report delivery
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including developers, property owners, attorneys, and lenders
- Coordinate and oversee Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, including site inspections, historical research, soil and groundwater investigations, and sampling programs
- Prepare, review, and finalize technical reports, work plans, and proposals
- Coordinate field activities with internal staff, laboratories, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Provide technical guidance and review support to junior staff during project execution
Projects are managed independently, with collaboration and technical support from senior geologists and engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- 3 to 7 years of experience in environmental consulting or environmental project management
- Direct experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and due diligence processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with remediation, corrective action, or regulatory compliance projects
- Familiarity with environmental permitting and agency coordination
- Experience working with environmental laboratories and subcontractors
- Asbestos, mold, or industrial hygiene experience is a plus

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $80,000 to $95,000, based on experience

Important Note for Applicants
This role requires environmental consulting experience, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs and environmental investigations. Applicants with construction-only project management backgrounds will not be a fit for this position.
