Role Description This full-time or part-time, on-site Electrical Estimator role is based in Birmingham, AL. The Electrical Estimator will review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate material, labor, and time estimates for electrical construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include performing quantity take-offs, analyzing bids and proposals, requesting and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes, and preparing detailed cost summaries. The role involves collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to clarify scope, identify value-engineering options, and support bid submissions and contract negotiations. The Electrical Estimator will also assist with budget development, monitor cost trends, and provide input on project scheduling and risk assessment.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Electrical Estimating skills, including quantity take-offs, bid preparation, and cost analysis.
- Candidates should possess Cost Control skills, including budget development, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Contracting experience, with knowledge of construction practices, codes, and industry standards.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Electricity and Electrical Engineering principles relevant to building systems and installations.
- Relevant qualifications such as a technical certificate or degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field are beneficial.
- Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office, along with strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills, is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contracts, and to communicate clearly with project stakeholders.
