Crazy Tooth Studio is seeking a Senior Spine Animator with deep experience in the online casino / iGaming industry.
This is an IN PERSON position, if hired you will be REQUIRED TO MOVE TO RENO, NEVADA and work IN THE OFFICE. Please do not apply if you are not able to move to Reno, Nevada.
This is not a narrow “just animate what you’re handed” role. We’re looking for someone who can help drive game quality end-to-end — contributing not only animation, but also game feel, pacing, polish, and production execution.

What You’ll Do
- Create high-quality, production-ready Spine animations for slot and wager-based games
- (characters, symbols, UI elements, feature effects, transitions, win celebrations, etc.)
- Work closely with art, design, and engineering to enhance game feel, pacing, and player experience
- Animate both 2D and 3D content, including hybrid workflows where needed
- Support production by rapidly iterating: strong animation comps in hours, polished animation sets in days
- Help define and maintain animation standards and reusable systems for consistent delivery
- Collaborate across the full game pipeline — from early concept through final integration and polish
- Assist with technical animation needs (rigging, exports, runtime performance considerations)
- Use AI tools where appropriate to accelerate iteration and improve output quality
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of experience in the online casino / iGaming industry
- Strong experience shipping slot or wager-based games
- Advanced proficiency in Spine (rigging, skinning, animation, clean exports, iteration workflows)
- Proven ability to animate characters and effects that feel snappy, readable, and rewarding
- Strong understanding of timing, anticipation, weight, and animation principles — applied to game UX
- Experience animating both 2D and 3D content
- Ability to create and/or modify 3D models as part of production needs
- Strong understanding of real-time performance constraints and optimization considerations
- Proficiency with common tools (examples: Photoshop, After Effects, Blender, Maya, etc.)
- Highly prolific, execution-focused, and comfortable in fast-paced production environments
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Pay Range: $70,000-$100,000
