What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver position at Crawfordsville School Corporation?
Crawfordsville Community School Corporation is looking to hire a bus driver for a single route for the 26-27 school year. Approximately 14 to 17 hours per week. Starting pay is $26.00 per hour with opportunities for extra-curricular trips. All positions require the applicants to complete an application, to complete a background check, and to provide references. All CDL drivers will receive free access to the clinic.
Job Requirements:
Transport children to and from school
Obey all traffic laws
Ensure the safety of all students at all times
Discipline children as needed to maintain a safe environment
Perform pre-trip inspections before each route
Maintain a clean bus at all times
All other duties as assigned
At least 21 years of age
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, a physical and have, or able to obtain a CDL. Drivers that begin with a CDL will be paid a $500.00 bonus after driving with us for 6 pay periods (12 weeks). Drivers that need to obtain a CDL will be paid $17.00 an hour while completing onsite driver training for CDL licensing.
