Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and motivated Associate Dentist to join their growing team in Wilmington, NC.
This is a great position if you are a new graduate. The Associate Dentist provides primary (and some secondary) dental and preventive care in a group practice, partners with the Office Manager to foster a positive culture and strong performance, and reports to the Chief Dental Officer.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care: Provide hands-on patient care and comprehensive evaluations. Diagnose and treat oral diseases using clinical and radiographic assessments. Develop and document appropriate treatment plans. Promote oral health through patient education. Manage patient medical/dental histories and address contraindications. Ensure accurate diagnosis, coding, and compliance with OSHA and dental board regulations. Team Leadership & Operations: Model company values and participate in daily huddles. Support office culture and performance in partnership with the Office Manager. Guide clinical staff to maintain high standards of care. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews of hygienists and assistants. Assist with patient concerns, risk management escalations, and billing or insurance issues as needed. Qualifications Education & Licenses: DMD or DDS from an accredited dental school Active state dental license and malpractice insurance DEA license and current CPR certification Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Empathy and patient-focused care approach Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail Ethical, professional, and able to thrive under pressure Culturally competent, able to work with diverse populations,
