- Responsible for the installation and maintenance of DAS Operations software, support, problem determination and resolution of enterprise Linux based systems, including email related issues, DNS, and DHCP.
- Functions as primary technical contact for all DAS/TorDAS system problems.
- Performs all necessary problem troubleshooting, escalating, resolutions, and reporting activities.
- Provides regular reporting regarding usage, resources, problems, changes and other utilization statistics.
- Recommend and implement infrastructure changes as needed to satisfy service level requirements.
- Recommend and perform routine monitoring/checks of software, security, operations, procedures, and patches.
- Address Service Desk tickets (Low through mid-level).
- Must be able to work second shift 11:00AM to 8:00PM M-F and off hours and weekends to complete patch's and updates as required by business needs.
- Other duties as assigned/required.
- Administration experience with Windows Operating systems and server platforms (Service Packs, Base System Installations and Troubleshooting).
- Extensive knowledge of Exchange, Patch management, Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and windows security group management.
- Administration experience with both legacy and current Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office products legacy versions including newer version up to 2024.
- Administration experience with Linux (CentOS/RedHat) and Unix platforms.
- Strong knowledge of local area and virtual private network administration of Site-to-Site VPNs.
- Strong knowledge of server virtualization products such as VMware, ProxMox, Hyper-V and KVM.
- Good knowledge of internet protocols (TCP/IP) and mechanisms (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, SSL, etc.).
- Experienced in enterprise storage management, net app arrays, network attached storage, archiving, backup & recovery.
- Experienced in managing web applications and 3rd party Operations software.
- Experienced in deploying and configuring network devices (switches, routers and firewalls).
- Strong system benchmarking & performance optimization skills.
- Experienced with Help Desk ticketing systems.
- Strong communication skills, time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
EXPERINCE:
- 5 years' experience in a Systems Administrator role.
- Preferred/Nice to have: IT Certifications (i.e., CompTIA Network ,CompTIA Security , Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), VMware Certified Professional, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Cloud Practitioner, Google Professional Cloud Architect, etc.).
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or another related field and or combination of education and expertise.
