Retirement Plan Administrator Remote or In-Person | Full-Time
Who We Are
At Crawford Retirement Group, we believe retirement plans shouldn’t feel overwhelming—for our clients and for our team. We’re a hands-on, high-touch TPA firm that partners closely with financial advisors and business owners to design and manage retirement plans that actually make sense. We care deeply about doing great work—but we also care about enjoying who we work with. We’re building a team that is collaborative, supportive, and genuinely likes helping people (even when things get messy… because they will).
The Role
We’re looking for a Retirement Plan Administrator who either already knows this world and loves it, or is excited to learn it, grow into it, and make it their thing. This role is all about owning a group of clients, helping them stay compliant, and guiding them through the complexities of their retirement plans with confidence and clarity.
What You’ll Be Doing
-Manage a book of retirement plan clients and be their go-to person
-Perform compliance testing (ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, coverage, etc.)
-Prepare Form 5500s and related government filings
-Calculate contributions (match, profit sharing, safe harbor, etc.)
-Review plan documents and apply provisions correctly
-Help fix plan issues and operational mistakes
-Communicate with clients, advisors, and recordkeepers
-Keep projects moving and deadlines on track
-Continuously learn and stay current in the industry
What Makes Someone Great in This Role
-Enjoys working with numbers and problem solving
-Strong communicator who can explain complex topics simply
-Organized and able to manage deadlines
-Curious and willing to learn
-Positive, team-first attitude
-Takes ownership and follows through
Experience (Flexible on Purpose)
Experience in retirement plan administration is great but not required. Ideal: 1–3 years in retirement plans, compliance testing, and Form 5500 preparation. Also great: Accounting, payroll, or office experience with strong Excel skills. If you’re excited to learn, we’re open to training the right person.
Why You’ll Love It Here
-In-Person or Remote work environment
-Supportive and collaborative team
-Opportunity to grow into an industry expert
-Investment in your learning and development
-A culture that values both great work and real life
Our Vibe
We take our work seriously—but not ourselves. We help clients without judgement, communicate openly, celebrate wins, and show up for each other. We’re building something long-term and want people who want to be part of that.
Compensation
Competitive and based on experience.
