We are seeking a Skilled Carpenter to join our team. Crawford Restoration mostly works in the Fire and Water Restorations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to perform various tasks related to building and restoring structures. This position requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Demo/Tear out parts of a structure that are wet or burned
- Perform metal & wood stud framing for walls and ceilings.
- Assemble various components of buildings and structures.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
- Hang doors accurately ensuring they are plumb and properly aligned.
- Apply caulking to seal joints and gaps for improved insulation and aesthetics.
- Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged components.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to ensure project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Skilled carpenter in construction settings.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to carpentry work.
- Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent physical stamina; ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
