Technical Lead -TurnItSummary TurnIt (part of Crawford Hoying's business ventures portfolio) is a dynamic startup focused on delivering innovative property management solutions in the real estate industry and beyond. TurnIt is currently searching for a highly skilled and growth-minded Technical Lead who will play a pivotal role in scaling our technology and product platforms. Prospective candidates should possess strong full-stack development abilities and an interest in product and team leadership. This role is ideal for someone who is ready to combine hands-on engineering with product vision and build the foundation of our U.S. technical team. Job Responsibilities (responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following)Contribute directly to TurnIt's codebase (React/Next.js, React Native, Node.js/TypeScript, Prisma).Fix bugs, implement small features, and oversee releases from our offshore development team.Manage CI/CD, AWS Amplify, and Terraform deployments, partnering with external vendors as needed.Validate code quality and maintain a clean, testable software architecture.Translate field and customer feedback into actionable tickets and user stories.Support feature testing, QA efforts, and UI/UX improvements.Coordinate with the offshore team to ensure timely and accurate delivery.Gradually assume ownership of the product roadmap and technical architecture.Mentor and help build the future U.S. technical team.Participate in product design discussions and strategic planning alongside the CEO.Help establish best practices for scaling and operational excellence.Perform other duties as assigned.Performance Objectives (objectives may include but are not limited to the following)Embody and uphold the 7 Core Values established by Crawford Hoying.Demonstrate prompt communication, professionalism, ownership, and accountability.Develop, implement, and monitor goals, objectives, and action plans for technology initiatives.Build strong working relationships with vendors, internal partners, and external clients.Show a willingness to take on new projects and continuously expand technical and product knowledge.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience46 years of professional experience as a full-stack developer.Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with expertise in React, Node.js, and Prisma.Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills.As ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.An interest in product management, UI/UX, and cultivating customer empathy.Work EnvironmentThe Technical Lead is a hybrid position, based out of and reporting to the Dublin, OH office. Collaboration with the offshore development team and TurnIt's CEO will be frequent. Core office hours are MondayFriday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work as product milestones require.Reporting Structure The Technical Lead reports to the CEO of TurnIt and will have operational support from Crawford Hoying staff.Physical Requirements The candidate's physical condition must support the consistent and successful completion of the responsibilities defined for this position and for conformance with all professional standards defined for this role. This position frequently requires sitting, standing, walking, and extended computer use. This employee must be able to drive and travel locally, as needed, for collaboration or client/vendor meetings.
