Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Trailer Parts Manager to join our team. This role is critical to ensure our technicians have what they need--when they need it-- to keep customers trailer safe, compliant, and road-ready.
What you will do
- Manage and maintain inventory of trailer-specific parts and components.
- Source, order, and receive parts while building strong vendor and supplier relationships.
- Assist with quoting parts and preparing customer estimates.
- Support trailer shop technicians by quickly supplying the materials needed for repairs.
- Track part usage, maintain accurate records, and forecast demand.
- Negotiate pricing and monitor cost control to keep operations profitable.
- Keep the trailer parts department clean, organized, and efficient.
- Provide professional, customer-focused support to internal teams and external buyers.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 2 years in parts management (trailer, truck, or heavy equipment).
- Knowledge: Strong familiarity with trailer systems—brakes, axles, suspension, lighting, hydraulics, etc.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and computer/database skills.
- Work Ethic: Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Bonus: Background in fleet operations or vendor negotiations.
