Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor detainees to ensure compliance with facility rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Conduct routine security checks and inspections throughout the detention facility.
- Monitor inmate activity through direct observation and CCTV surveillance systems.
- Maintain the safety and security of inmates, staff, and visitors at all times.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents.
- Utilize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Conduct inmate searches, facility inspections, and contraband detection activities.
- Prepare accurate and detailed reports documenting incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- Assist with inmate intake, booking, classification, transportation, and release procedures as required.
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary and coordinate with medical personnel and emergency responders.
- Support investigations and ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
