What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Coordinator position at Crawford Company?
Crawford Company is looking for an assistant project coordinator for our plumbing division. This role provides administrative and project management support to facilitate project workflows and ensure key performance objectives are met. Works closely with estimators, project managers, field staff and administrative team, and maintains communication with internal and external customers, vendors and contractors.
Compensation commensurate with experience and background.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers, Estimators, and other office staff by organizing project documents from initiation through closeout.
- Provide document control to ensure proper project flow and to ensure timelines are met.
- Compile job specific data sheets and reports via project tracking software.
- Maintain and organize records, files, and databases (digital and physical).
- Assist with change orders, RFI’s, submittals, meeting minutes and project closeout.
- Monitor expenses and implement support cost-saving measures to ensure projects adhere to budgets.
- Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions.
- Monitor project status and coordinate with team members to ensure workflow efficiency and timeliness.
- Manage correspondence — answer phones, emails, and handle mail.
- Communicate directly with end users through-out all phases of construction projects.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Help ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Foster cross-team collaboration.
- Coordinate with other parts of the office to ensure completion of daily tasks.
- Provide assistance with special projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Construction related experience preferred
- Computer software and data base administration preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
