At Cravings, we take our food and customer service seriously—and enjoy having a little fun along the way. We’re a small, family-owned eatery looking for someone who can make customers feel welcome and help keep the place running smoothly.

A friendly, outgoing personality, dependability, and a strong work ethic are non-negotiable. Must be available to work Saturdays or Sundays; availability for at least one of these days is required.

A few things we should get out of the way:

• Customers shouldn’t have to greet you first. A smile, a warm hello, and comfortable conversation are part of the job. You must enjoy interacting with people and be comfortable initiating conversations throughout your shift.
• The schedule isn’t a suggestion. We count on you to show up and be on time and ready to work for your scheduled shifts.
• Your phone can survive without you for a while. Personal phones stay put away while working.
• “It’s slow” means we have time to get things done. Clean, restock, organize, and prepare for the next rush. If you need customers in front of you to stay busy, this won’t be the right fit.
• We serve sandwiches, not side orders of drama. Be respectful, support your coworkers, and pitch in—including with cleaning. If someone misses a routine task, help get it done. We’re looking for teammates who solve problems, not keep score.
• Be willing to undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome customers and help them choose something delicious.
• Take orders in person and by phone.
• Prepare and package orders accurately and efficiently.
• Package and label food for sale.
• Keep coolers and displays stocked, neat, and appealing.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, counters, and work areas, and keep customer areas and bathrooms clean.
• Follow food-safety procedures and operate equipment safely.
• Build relationships with customers and give them a reason to come back.

• Previous deli, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is required.
