Food Service Lead & Seasonal Operations Coordinator
Join the team at Craven Farm — a family-owned destination known for creating traditions, community experiences, seasonal festivals, private events, concessions, and other gatherings since 1983.

- Assist with menu planning, food ordering, inventory, prep systems, and operational procedures
- Help organize and prepare for festivals, large events, gatherings, and seasonal operations
- Help recruit, hire, train, and support approximately 90 seasonal food service employees during peak season
- Lead and mentor many first-time and teenage employees with patience, structure, and accountability
- Identify and develop strong shift leads and stand managers
- Create systems that improve communication, consistency, and shift-to-shift operations
- Step into any role when needed, including prep, service, setup, cleaning, or staff support
- Work closely with ownership and management to help improve operations and guest experience
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate:
- Has previous experience in food service, concessions, hospitality, catering, brewery operations, event operations, youth leadership, camp leadership, or seasonal venue management
- Is highly organized and comfortable managing multiple moving parts
- Leads by example and takes initiative without waiting to be asked
- Is flexible and adaptable in a fast-changing event environment
- Enjoys mentoring young staff and building positive team culture
- Can stay calm and solution-oriented during busy weekends and high-volume events
- Understands how to balance leadership, accountability, and teamwork
Schedule Expectations
- Average schedule ranges from 4–5 days per week depending on season and events
- Increased hours during fall festival season and large events
- Weekend availability is required
- Flexible scheduling is essential, as event support needs may change week to week
Bonus Experience
We encourage applicants with backgrounds in:
- Food & beverage management
- Brewery or taproom operations
- Event coordination
- Catering
- Festival operations
- Summer camps or youth leadership
- Hospitality management
- Seasonal attractions
