This position requires a thorough knowledge of public health as it pertains to rabies control, as well as knowledge of legal and enforcement policies and procedures. This position requires the ability read, interpret, and explain rules, regulation, and procedures. Communicate clearly and effectively with the general public and other employees. A sense of compassion and kindness for animals is absolutely essential.
: Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management.
In the event of a disaster, may be required to assist as needed.

Physical Requirements

Employee must be able to lift and carry loaded animal traps from truck to shelter. Also, they must be able to handle and control animals to prevent injury to themselves as well as others.
