What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista Cashier position at Crave?
Overview:
You will play a pivotal role in creating memorable experiences for our customers! You will be the friendly face that greets patrons, expertly crafts their favorite beverages, and manages transactions with precision. What you’ll do:
- Provide outstanding customer service by warmly welcoming guests and assisting them with their orders.
- Prepare and serve a variety of customizable drinks and locally sourced food items while adhering to food safety and preparation standards and guidelines.
- Operate the Square Point of Sale (POS) system for each transaction.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, ensuring all sales are recorded correctly and securely.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of workspace including equipment and supplies. Light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Engage with customers to promote menu items and upsell products, enhancing their overall experience.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and enthusiasm.
Basic qualifications:
- Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not mandatory; we’re excited to train the right candidate!
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that makes customers feel valued and welcome.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
Preferred qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining high-quality service.
