Role Description The Team Leader Sales is a full-time, on-site role based in Canton, MI, responsible for guiding sales associates to deliver an outstanding customer experience and achieve store sales goals. This role oversees daily sales floor operations, including directing team activities, supporting merchandising standards, and ensuring product knowledge is consistently shared with customers. The Team Leader Sales coaches, trains, and motivates team members, providing real-time feedback to enhance performance and customer engagement. This role collaborates with store leadership to analyze sales trends, implement sales initiatives, and support promotional events. The Team Leader Sales also helps maintain store policies, supports opening and closing procedures, and promotes a safe, inclusive, and service-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills to build relationships, engage customers, and support a positive in-store experience.
- Team management and leadership skills to coach, motivate, and coordinate sales associates toward shared goals.
- Sales and retail experience with the ability to meet or exceed targets and support promotional and merchandising strategies.
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and recommend actions that improve performance.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed in a retail environment.
- Experience in home furnishings or specialty retail is beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in business, retail management, or a related field is a plus.
