Claims Operations Specialist

CrashBay is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Claims Operations Specialist to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone with some prior experience in auto claims, estimating, or repair coordination who is ready to build on that foundation and grow into a more specialized position.

As a Claims Operations Specialist, you’ll assist in reviewing estimates and supplements while also supporting the claims team with vendor/shop communication, repair updates, and keeping partners aligned with CrashBay’s processes. This role provides hands-on exposure to the repair network and offers excellent career development opportunities for those looking to advance beyond entry-level claims handling.

Salary: $45,000 - $75,000

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, analyzing, and validating repair estimates for accuracy and guideline compliance.
• Communicate regularly with vendors and repair shops to provide updates and gather required information.
• Support total loss evaluations by helping compare repair costs with vehicle values.
• Serve as a day-to-day contact for shops, vendors, and vehicle owners to keep repairs moving smoothly.
• Follow up on shop/vendor progress to ensure timely completion of repairs and payments.
• Document claim activities and communications in a clear and accurate manner.
• Help align shops and vendors with CrashBay’s repair and claims processes.
• Collaborate with the claims team to improve workflow efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in claims, estimating, or a related auto repair/insurance support role.
• Knowledge of writing or reviewing estimates, CCC preferred.
• Understanding of auto repair processes and coverage guidelines preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with vendors and partners.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and open to feedback and coaching.
• Comfortable with technology and new systems.
