Lead Automotive Paint / Prep

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and experience in various painting techniques, particularly in the automotive industry. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on vehicles. The Painter will work closely with other team members to achieve the desired results while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the workspace.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed.
• Apply paint using spray guns, brushes, or rollers to achieve a smooth and even finish.
• Perform auto body repair as necessary to ensure surfaces are ready for painting.
• Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks related to painting and restoration processes.
• Utilize hand tools effectively for buffing and finishing touches on painted surfaces.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Stay updated on new painting techniques and materials to enhance skills and quality of work.

Requirements

• Proven experience in automotive painting or related fields is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in auto restoration is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the painting process.
• Familiarity with auto glass installation and repair is beneficial.
• Proficient in using hand tools and equipment related to painting tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions within the role.
