Responsibilities
- Respond to accidents, break-downs, and other roadside incidents
- Transportation to a nearby garage
- Stay in contact with motorists when you are en route
- Perform basic repairs or tow their vehicle to a garage
- Safely load cars onto the back of your truck
- Keep your truck clean and in good condition
- Remove illegally parked vehicles
Qualifications
- A license to drive a motor vehicle
- A compliant motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass a medical certification to drive a tow vehicle
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and randomly
- Minimum of 1 year roadside assistance or experience loading and unloading a flatbed truck
- Ability to record daily trip on a DOT Log Book and conduct a daily pre-trip inspection
- Strong communication, time management skills and basic mechanical skills
- Attention to detail when documenting work
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
