What are the responsibilities and job description for the JROTC Army Instructor position at Cranston High School East?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Using dynamic teaching techniques instruct Cadets in the JROTC curriculum to include but not limited to: Leadership Theory and Application; Foundations for Success in Life; Health and Wellness; Geography, Map Skills and Environmental Awareness; and Citizenship in American History and Government. Assist the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) with all administrative and management aspects of the program IAW USACC Regulation 145-2. Provide short and long term planning and Cadet Mentorship in extra-curricular activities to include but not limited to: Community Outreach, Service Learning, Drill and Ceremony, Leadership Labs, and Color Guards. Performs extra duties as assigned by school administrators.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Non-commissioned officer must be retired from the Army in the grades of E-6 through E-9. Must meet all United States Army Cadet Command (USACC) requisites for employment to include a favorable Child Care National Agency Check and Inquiries (CNACI) investigation. Must be able to achieve and maintain instructor certification through USACC.

The position requires meeting deadlines with time constraints and interacting with students, parents and staff.

POSITION IN TOTAL ORGANIZATION:
The JROTC Army Instructor is under the direct supervision of the Senior JROTC Instructor and building Administrators.
