Job Summary: This position is responsible for overseeing the inventory and distribution of parts, ensuring that all components are available when needed to support operations. This role involves managing stock levels, ordering parts, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring parts quality, and maintaining organized records. The Parts Manager also plays a key role in customer service, assisting with part inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring timely deliveries. Effective communication with other departments, as well as a solid understanding of inventory management systems, are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish Parts inventory levels
- Orders parts to maintain established inventory levels
- Orders parts as needed by both shop and field mechanics
- Communicates with customers by phone or in person, reinforcing their confidence and encouraging repeat business
- Receives, prices, and stocks parts inventory maintaining databases accordingly
- Prepares for and participates in year end inventory
- Coordinates parts returns
- Implements new strategies, systems and/or procedures for improved operations
- Maintains reporting systems effectively, accurately and timely
- Establishes procedures to retain and acquire new customers through sales calls by phone or in person.
- Reconcile daily parts invoices
- Assign parts as requested by shop personnel
- 5 years of experience in parts background required
- Strong leadership skills
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to work well with others.
- Strong understanding of parts required.
- Must be familiar with heavy truck and construction equipment.
- Must posses strong independent decision making skills.
- Must be able to maintain a safe, reasonably clean and organized work environment
- Highly preferred experience working in parts in the heavy equipment industry.
- Familiarity with computerized inventory management systems.
- Experience with remote customer service or technical support.
