Cranesville Block Company, Inc. has an IMMEDIATE opening for an EXPERIENCED Loader Operator/Laborer who is responsible for the movement of materials & Maintenance.
The Loader Operator maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operates Equipment
- Loads trucks with loader.
- projects - helping around the yard as needed.
- Inspect, repair, monitor, aid, clean, lubricate, operate, fabricate, maintain, and or regulate machinery and equipment necessary for company production and safety.
- Mandatory travel, sometimes with little notice.
- Able to weld, fabricate, erect and or build structures.
- Lay out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or
- Helps determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
- Helps keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures.
- Helps to correct vehicle deficiencies
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
- Helps head mechanic with repairs and diagnosis.
- Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Maintains a safe and clean workshop. Follows company safety policy.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Comply with MSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Preferably familiar with diesel trucks, engines, heavy equipment, transmissions, tires, mechanisms, completing paper work, manufacturing plants.
