Cranemasters is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Supervisor to lead and manage field crews supporting derailment response, railcar repair, load adjustment/transfer, and track maintenance and construction projects.
This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining high-quality standards, and delivering exceptional service to railroad customers and regulatory stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and assign daily work to field crews
· Lead safety briefings and enforce PPE, FRA, DOT, and company standards
· Oversee project execution, including hands-on work and equipment operation
· Maintain strong communication with customers and regulatory agencies
· Submit accurate payroll, equipment usage, and project reports
· Train, coach, and evaluate team members
· Prepare job quotes (labor, equipment, logistics)
· Monitor and maintain equipment readiness
Skills/Qualifications
· 2 years railroad industry experience
· Knowledge of DOT, FRA, and safety regulations
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· Proficient in MS Office and reporting systems
· Valid driver’s license (CDL A or B preferred)
· Experience operating heavy equipment (cranes, excavators, etc.)
· Ability to read load charts and understand rigging practices
Physical Requirements
· Outdoor work in all weather conditions
· Frequent travel with overnight stays
· Physically demanding (lifting, walking on uneven terrain, extended hours)
