Cranemasters is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our production team. This position is responsible for properly preparing vehicles and equipment and applying high-quality paint finishes that meet company standards.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare vehicles and equipment for painting (cleaning, sanding, grinding, part removal)
· Mix and apply primer, paint, and finish coats to meet quality specifications
· Operate and maintain spray equipment and tools
· Inspect completed work and perform rework as needed
· Keep paint booths, tools, and work areas clean and organized
· Support and guide Painter’s Helpers
· Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
· Assist team members to meet deadlines and quality standards
Skills/Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED
· 5 years of painting experience (Journeyman-level preferred)
· Experience with spray guns and painting equipment
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
· Good communication and basic computer skills
· Valid driver’s license with clean record (CDL a plus)
· Willingness to be available for emergency call-outs (including weekends/holidays)
Physical Requirements
· Work in various weather conditions and environments
· Frequent bending, walking, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs
· Ability to distinguish colors accurately
· Must be comfortable working with paints, chemicals, and solvents
· Ability to wear required PPE, including masks and protective clothing
