What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Manager - Mon - Fri, Days, 24/7 Operations position at Crane Worldwide Logistics?
Essential Job Functions
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all essential shop functions.
Manage the maintenance department budget.
Manage the inspection, repair, and servicing of all fleet tractors and trailers.
Work with safety department in training all maintenance employees in OSHA and safety procedures.
Promote quality and continuous Improvement.
Manage equipment preventive maintenance service intervals and records.
Ensure that working areas are properly maintained, cleaned and OSHA compliant.
Responsible to ensure that inventory control, security, safety, and shop policies are adhered to.
Write and implement SOPs on tractor and trailer maintenance.
Hire and train a staff of (4) maintenance clerks located in different cities and manage daily operations.
Manage the work of employees in the maintenance department to ensure accurate completion in a timely manner.
Perform PM scheduling, parts purchasing and inventory control.
Availability during 24/7 operations
Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
Position may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking. Light lifting (less than 25 pounds) may be required in some instances

Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and the skills necessary to perform minor repairs.
Must be honest, dependable and flexible.
Incumbent should pay great attention to detail and solve problems quickly.
Must have great concern for others.
Must be able to communicate well, cooperate with others and be capable of tolerating a stressful environment.
Must be able to manage time and prioritize tasks.
Education and Work Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Requires a minimum of (5 ) five or more years of experience
Certifications and Licenses
Professional certification may be required in some areas.
