What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Intern position at Crane Worldwide Logistics?
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing journal entries with proper supporting documentation.
- Support monthly balance sheet reconciliations and help investigate variances.
- Participate in month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely completion.
- Help review general ledger activity and identify basic trends or discrepancies.
- Follow company policies and assist with compliance with accounting standards (U.S. GAAP).
- Provide support during internal and external audits by organizing and preparing documentation.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help maintain standardized procedures.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Finance teams on routine tasks.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Prior internship or coursework in accounting is a plus, but not required
- Basic knowledge of U.S. GAAP principles preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables)
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus
