Duties
- Assist senior crane technicians with routine maintenance and repairs on various construction machinery including cranes, excavators, forklifts, and tractors
- Support the inspection of equipment for mechanical issues, hydraulic leaks, electrical faults, and safety hazards
- Prepare tools, parts, and materials needed for repairs using hand tools and power tools
- Help with equipment troubleshooting by following schematics and technical manuals under supervision
- Participate in equipment assembly, disassembly, and welding tasks as directed by experienced technicians
- Aid in performing heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate lifting gear and techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in heavy equipment maintenance or automotive repair
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, or fabrication is a plus
- Familiarity with construction machinery such as cranes, excavators, or forklifts is advantageous but not required
- Ability to follow detailed schematics and technical instructions accurately
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and teamwork
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various outdoor conditions
- Prior experience or training related to diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems or HVAC systems is beneficial but not mandatory
