The Role
As Office & People Coordinator, you’ll keep our office running smoothly while supporting core People/HR processes. You’ll be the go-to person for office logistics, employee experience, and executive administrative support—directly shaping a positive, productive workplace. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and partners closely with the executive team and our third-party HR/PEO provider.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Operations & Administration
- Oversee day-to-day office operations (facilities, supplies, vendor coordination, mail, phones, meeting spaces).
- Provide clerical and administrative support (answering phones, sorting/distributing mail, preparing documents, and basic data entry).
- Plan and execute company meetings and events; coordinate executive calendars and travel.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries.
People Operations:
- Commit to the Company’s mission, values, and goals.
- Assist management with efforts to build and maintain an excellent company culture and work environment
- Coordinate end-to-end recruiting logistics (postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication).
- Lead onboarding and offboarding (paperwork, systems access, orientation checklists).
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS; ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
- Support payroll processing (timekeeping audits, changes, approvals) in partnership with Finance/PEO.
- Help drive employee engagement initiatives and culture-building activities.
- Respond to routine employee questions and direct escalations appropriately.
- Maintain organized, confidential personnel files and handle sensitive info with discretion.
What You'll Bring:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 years of experience in an office environment, including 2 years with coordination/lead responsibilities.
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/production environment (or strong familiarity with plant/production workflows).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organization; able to juggle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365 and experience with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable HRIS.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters professionally.
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Communications, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of facilities/vendor management and budget tracking.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Slack/Teams, Zoom, OneDrive).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $60,000–$72,000.
- Your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. Exact compensation will depend on a number of factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, level, years of experience, technical expertise, and other qualifications. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. This role is also eligible for Crane's benefit package. See our list of perks/benefits below.
