Purpose :
The purpose of the Business Development Manager is to increase market share within the assigned territory through effective cold-calling, networking, and participation in strategic trade events. The result of these activities will maximize lead generation to Account Managers.
Essential Job Responsibilities :
- Continuously builds base of prospects by researching, cold-calling, and networking.
- Maintains and nurtures relationships with existing customers.
- Actively pursues new customer relationships through effective networking channels to expand market share within the assigned territory.
- Consistently and accurately maintains their pipeline of leads.
- Maintains a lead volume that will support sales and gross margin targets.
- Collaborates with the General Manager and Account Managers to hand off leads.
