We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional Housekeeper to help maintain the exceptional cleanliness and comfort standards across our boutique, luxury oceanfront hotels in York, Maine. This role is essential to the guest experience — our properties are known for their design, atmosphere, and meticulous presentation, and housekeeping plays a central role in delivering that promise.

Core ResponsibilitiesGuest Rooms & Public Spaces
- Clean and prepare guest rooms to luxury-boutique standards, including:
- Bed making with precise linen placement
- Bathroom sanitation and presentation
- Dusting, vacuuming, glass cleaning, and floor care
- Amenity placement and restocking
- Ensure common areas are guest-ready, including hallways, stairwells, patios, and seasonal outdoor spaces
- Maintain consistency in scent, presentation, and overall room feel
Attention to Detail & Quality
- Follow detailed housekeeping checklists and brand standards
- Identify and report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly
- Respect guest privacy and handle personal belongings with discretion
- Assist with room inspections and re-cleans when needed
Laundry & Supplies
- Assist with laundry operations
- Properly handle cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelines
- Keep housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas clean and organized
Team Collaboration
- Communicate clearly with housekeeping leads, front desk, and maintenance
- Support team efforts during peak season, turnovers, and special events
- Be flexible with scheduling during busy periods (summer, weddings, holidays)
Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred (hotel or high-end residential strongly valued)
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in coastal Maine conditions
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks with consistency and care
Compensation & Benefits
- $21–23 per hour, based on experience
